El INVOLCAN utiliza la Red Geodésica Activa para evaluar la actividad sísmica detectada recientemente en El Hierro

El Instituto Volcanológico de Canarias (INVOLCAN) utilizó información registrada por la estación GNSS de Frontera (FRON) de la Red Geodésica Activa de Canarias para evaluar la actividad sísmica detectada recientemente en el Hierro. Esta evaluación fue llevada a cabo por el Dr. Takeshi Sagiya, Catedrático de la Universidad de Nagoya, que es colaborador científico del INVOLCAN y responsable científico de la red de vigilancia volcánica de Canarias. La Red Geodésica Activa es propiedad del Gobierno de Canarias y su implantación y operación corren a cargo de la empresa pública GRAFCAN.
