GRAFCAN participa en las Jornadas TIC del Colegio Hispano Británico

Tal y como les adelantábamos en otra noticia, ayer 23 de noviembre se inauguraron las Jornadas TIC organizadas por el Colegio Hispano Británico de Tenerife. Un evento que pretende acercar a los jóvenes al mundo de las tecnologías. Este año las charlas que se desarrollarán durante esta semana, tratarán entre otros, temas de geolocalización e información territorial, uso responsable de las tecnologías, robótica, geotermia, casas bioclimáticas, programación y animación. 

GRAFCAN participó activamente con una charla – taller sobre geolocalización y la Infraestructura de Datos Espaciales de Canarias (IDECanarias), en la que se explicó a alumnas y alumnos del centro, las posibilidades de uso de la información geográfica de Canarias y las diferentes herramientas que disponen a través del portal de IDECanarias. Los participantes mostraron un especial interés por la gran amplitud del catálogo de información disponible para las islas, así como por el visor de IDECanarias donde destacaron las herramientas LIDAR y los contenidos de fototeca que nos permiten tener una imagen histórica de nuestro territorio y analizar su evolución.
