El objeto del contrato que se licita consiste en la adquisición en pleno dominio, por GRAFCAN, la instalación y mantenimiento de diecinueve (19) estaciones meteorológicas automáticas, que se instalarán por todas las islas del archipiélago canario; definido en el pliego de prescripciones técnicas del presente procedimiento, y que se licita como lote único.

La presente contratación se enmarca en el proyecto “Apoyo al estudio del Cambio Climático y prevención de Fenómenos Meteorológicos Adversos en Canarias” que se recoge en la Orden nº106/2019 de 29 de noviembre de 2019, que modifica la inicial Orden nº370 de 20 de noviembre de 2017, de la anterior Consejería de Política Territorial, Sostenibilidad y Seguridad del Gobierno de Canarias; por la que se encarga a la empresa pública Cartográfica de Canarias, S.A. (GRAFCAN) la implantación de un sistema de observación meteorológica y gestión de datos en apoyo al estudio del cambio climático en Canarias.
