El GOTA de la ULL evaluará la aplicación del LIDAR a la simulación de incendios forestales

El Grupo de Observación de la Tierra y la Atmósfera (GOTA) de la Universidad de La Laguna evaluará, en el marco de su línea de investigación dedicada a los incendios forestales, la aplicabilidad del vuelo LIDAR 2010 en la estimación de masas forestales que se utilizan como parámetros de entrada en los modelos de simulación de incendios forestales. El grupo GOTA está registrado como grupo de investigación oficial de la ULL desde el año 2000 y forma parte de la Red de Excelencia en Energía, Agua y Medio Ambiente de la Universidad de La Laguna dentro del programa de redes de excelencia tecnológica del Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias (ITC).
